Electric Motor Repair

Doerr Motor and Pump provides full service electric motor repair. We offer everything from repairs to complete rebuilds and rewinding. Preventative maintenance is also available. If your motor is not worth repair, replacement options are available. Motor repair includes single phase, three phase, DC, generators, and antique induction repulsion motors. We service all brands.

Electric motors are dismantled, fully inspected, and quoted. Motor windings are tested using surge comparison testing, Insulation resistance is tested, followed by a hipot test. All mechanical fits are measured including bearings journals, bores, and shaft extensions. Good windings are fully cleaned and coated in insulator varnish. Rotors and armatures are precision balanced better than factory specifications. All parts are cleaned and painted. New bearings are installed using induction heating to prevent damage caused by pressing/striking. Motors are assembled, tested, and painted.

Machining services are available including machining bearing fits, shaft extensions and keyways, new shafts, and custom parts.
